Updates for the 2024-2025 season.

This season will be a uniform purchase year.  All players will be expected to purchase the new uniform. A link will be sent to all players after spot on team is awarded.  Uniforms MUST be ordered by October 8th to be in prior to Thanksgiving.  Parents will have to log into Capelli link that will be provided and purchase by October 8th.

This season,  after try outs,  players that have made teams will be sent a registration link to register and pay for the season.  In years past there was a payment plan option. This option is not available moving forward and all invoices must be paid in full prior to November 1st.

We understand that with a uniform purchase and a season fee that we want to give time and notice to all parents to prepare for these invoices.  The uniform is expected to be about $110-$120 per player and league fees will range from $255 - $450 based on what each team is doing for leagues and tournaments.  That will be decided by coach shortly after try outs and communicated out.

Players that do not make a travel team will be encouraged to sign up for Intown recreational basketball.  The link to the Park and Recreation Fall Flyer CLICK HERE for dates and deadlines for intown basketball.

Travel basketball has try outs and is specific for boys and girls teams. Travel basketball is run entirely through Agawam Basketball Association.  Players that make travel basketball teams should expect to play in 1-2 leagues and potentially play in tournaments.  Travel basketballs expectations are that players are committed to teams and participate in all team activities within reason throughout the basketball season.  Games are in Agawam and surrounding towns.  A typical basketball week would be 2-3 practices and 1-2 (sometimes 3) games per week.  Travel basketball is a competitive environment meant to bring out the best in youth basketball skills. All leagues and tournaments are competitive in nature and is meant for the more serious and committed basketball players.

Please see the following try out times for travel teams.  Players MUST attend a try out to be on a team.  Anyone that misses a try out, a make up date will be announced but it will not be with that players potential team or coach.  Second try outs with the team are at coach and board discretion and it will be based on numbers and talent from the initial try out.  Any player that its injured please register for try outs and communicate the injury to Agawam Basketball.
